Have a curious little explorer at home?? They'll be sure to love our nature scavenger hunt to find treasures right in their own backyard or at their favorite park. We've loved putting this fun little activity together with a free downloadable scavenger hunt checklist full of beautiful graphics to help them locate each item. If you'd like to print it out, you can find it at the bottom of this blog to have a little fun getting dirty and exploring Mother Earth.
We highly recommend making a quick pair of DIY binoculars out of upcycled toilet paper rolls, some string and a touch of paint to make exploration a fun adventure!
Use our colorful printout of scavenger hunt items to help guide your little one through nature. Bonus: Bring along an egg carton to fill with each treasure found. Once completed, ask them to recall the name of everything they were able to collect. You can also further this simple activity by counting each item, asking about colors or even letter sounds.
Find this printable HERE.
Your little one will love locating each item and understanding the many kinds of each one like the wide variety of leaves in nature!
We hope this activity helps you to get out in nature and start exploring just how beautiful our Mother Earth is, whether at a big park or your very own backyard.
